SEPTA: Serious About Costing Some Serious Change

If only I had my Bush private Social Security account now. I’d invest it all in Septa Rider’s Get Rich Quick Scheme. With fare hikes imminent on the transit system that is already the most expensive in the country, maybe it’s time to look for alternatives…

Philebrity launched a new feature last week that promises to analyze the world with the Chinatown bus as its lens. It makes me wonder if 2000 Coach or Apex Bus just might be our mass-transit savior. Could we start with a chicken bus that goes from Old City to West Philly? They could probably charge 75 cents ($1.25 round-trip) and show videos by little-known Chinese rock bands instead of those action flicks they show now seem to have stopped showing. Any takers?

Update: Apex Bus has a blog. Does SEPTA have a blog? I don’t think so.
